1920

Foundation of the company

Wilhelm Veigel establishes the company as an
automobile repair shop and subsequently, also
works as a driving instructor.

1925

Invention of the dual control

Wilhelm Veigel develops a dual control
for his own driving school vehicle.

1995

Management change

In the absence of a successor coming from
the Veigel family, Hinrich H. Swyter takes over
the company.

2000

New Rehamotive division

Taking over Bruhn and Griep West companies at the
beginning of the new millennium, Veigel GmbH +
Co. KG enters the Rehamotive market, commercialising
driving aids for individuals with disabilities.

2009

Veigel goes North America!

Veigel founds Veigel North America together with James Morrison and Jann Hendrik Swyter. This is also the successful entry of the second generation of the Swyter into the company.

2016

Move into our new Global Headquarters

In July of that year, a large step for the firm follows
with the firm Veigel moving, after 96 years in
Künzelsau, Germany to their new customers‘-, development-
and production center in Öhringen, Germany.

2019

Veigel goes UK!

In April of 2019, under the lead of Jann Swyter
and in cooperation with Julian Pozimski and Peter
Short, Veigel successfully establishes Veigel Ltd.
with the objective of continuing to provide the
best solutions directly to the UK.
